Banking sources revealed to Newsyemen that the Central Bank of Yemen intends to issue a new banknote of 100 Y.R , will be put to at the beginning of 2019.
This comes in conjunction with the devaluation of the national currency to Y.R 530 against a dollar during the current week.
According to the sources, the bank plans to issue a new Metal Coin of 50 Y.R , replacing the banknote of the same category, which will be canceled.
