Mahdi Saleh al-Hanashi, a member of the Security Belt Forces, was martyred in al-Mahfad district in Abyan province, southern Yemen.
An improvised explosive device was planted by unknown gunmen are believed to be linked with al-Qaeda in al-Habadh area in the province, killing the soldier al-Hanashi.
