The UAE Red Crescent Society, the humanitarian arm of the United Arab Emirates, launched Wednesday a campaign to combat and prevent cholera epidemic in Mawza'a district in Taiz province.
The first day of the campaign included supplying a health center in al-Hameli in Mawza'a with a quantity of drugs, intravenous fluids, antibiotics and other necessary medical supplies.
It is expected the second phase of the campaign against cholera epidemic to be carried out on Thursday through awareness groups.
The campaign aims to educate and teach residents in the areas of Mawza'a district so as to prevent themselves from the disease.
