The head of the Military Police Colonel Bassam al-Harq said that the transfer of police forces from their current headquarters to another building was intended to hand over state institutions to their official bodies

He added that the move of the police to another building does not mean abandoning its duties to maintain security and stability in Mocha and the rest of the West Coast areas, stressing that it will remain with the citizens to serve their security and preserve their property.

He explained that the delivery of state institutions to the local authority is a positive thing and serves the citizen primarily, and is part of
The decision of the Arab coalition leadership to evacuate the buildings and institutions of the state.

He pointed out that the interaction of society and the cooperation of its members in reporting crime contributed significantly to policing.
Al-Harq statements followed unconfirmed information about the change of military police chief, sparking a storm of reactions condemning the decision.

A number of residents of Mocha expressed, last night, anger at the decision to transfer the police chief to another security, before it became clear that the police move from its current headquarters to another building.

Military police in coastal areas have managed to maintain security and stability

The military police on the west coast are dealing with smuggling operations, especially fertilizers, which are involved in the manufacture of explosives, and have made great efforts to reduce them.
