On Friday morning, the Arab coalition announced the interception and destruction of drones launched by the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, towards Saudi territory.
The spokesman for the coalition forces, Colonel Turki al-Maliki, said that the planes were targeting "civilian objects in (Abha) and (Khamis Mushayt)," according to the Saudi Press Agency.
Colonel al-Maliki did not indicate the number of drones that were intercepted.
