The head of the notary office of Mocha Court, Judge Mohamed Hussein and his personal companion, was wounded on Wednesday afternoon in a shooting around a disputed land.
A judicial source reported to Newsyemen that Judge Hussein was on a mission to inspect a land area of dispute between two parties when he received several bullets.
The source added that his personal companion was seriously injured in the attack.
Judge Hussein and his escort were transferred to the MSF surgical hospital for treatment, pending an investigation into the motives for the crime.
