Armed men affiliated with a Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, attacked, on Monday, the home of Sheikh Mahmoud Ahmed Mahmoud, the brother of former Taiz governor, Amin Mahmoud, in Sanaa, and killed four of his sons.

A local source said that Houthi gunmen attacked the house of Sheikh Mahmoud in Sanaa, due to a problem between him and a militia leader belonging to Al Mahwit Governorate.

It added, "The Houthi leader brought in armed groups, attacked the house of the brother of the former governor of Taiz, and killed four of Mahmoud Ahmad Mahmoud's sons."

It explained that Haitham, Majed, Hisham, and Fuad, the sons of Sheikh Mahmoud Ahmed Mahmoud, were killed while defending their house in Sanaa, after the elements affiliated with the Houthi leader tried to storm it.
