Aden, Newsyemen:

Hashem Al-Ahmar forces imposed, at the Al-Wadiah border crossing, with Saudi Arabia, illegal financial royalties of 200 Saudi riyals on each Yemeni citizen returning from the Kingdom.

The Hashem al-Ahmar militia justified the royalties on travelers in exchange for testing the Corona virus.

According to Al-Sharea newspaper, military and tribal militants affiliated with Hashem al-Ahmar, the former commander of the Sixth Military District, created, on Sunday morning, a box inside the Yemeni port of depository to check the Corona virus for Yemeni travelers returning from Saudi Arabia.

It quoted travelers as saying, that each of them was forced to pay 200 Saudi riyals for the examination, in addition to paying them money ranging from 100 to 250 Saudi riyals, in exchange for the exit visa and stamping their passports.

Passengers reported that whoever refuses to pay the aforementioned sums is detained, and his exit from the port is obstructed, making them compelled to pay the sums imposed on them.

They appealed to government agencies to put an end to the exploitation they are exposed to in the port of Al-Wadiah.
