Houthi militias, Iran's arm in Yemen, escalated their daily violations and shelling towards residential neighborhoods in the city of Hays, south of Hodeidah, at a time when the militias intensified the launching of drones, and the joint forces in Al-Durahimi were able to shoot down two planes within hours.
The Newsyemen correspondent said that the militias bombed from Tuesday evening until Wednesday morning, with artillery and missile shells towards the residential neighborhoods in the city center.
He explained that the Houthi bombing did not stop for ten days on a daily basis, which created a state of panic and fear among the citizens.
An extensive deployment of Houthi militias continued in the streets and neighborhoods of Hodeidah city, in addition to the deployment of large numbers of security forces, and sources alerted that armed groups from the Dhamar and Sana'a governorates arrived by buses and civilian transportation to the districts around the city of Hodeidah before redistributing them and moving them in smaller numbers to the city and cross lines.
Local sources in South Hodeidah said on Tuesday 17 March 2020 that the Iranian arm militias have returned again and in the wake of losses suffered by failed attacks and infiltrations, to launch drones in large numbers, in parallel .. a military source confirmed the shooting of a drones , on Tuesday evening, while another one was shot down after hours.
The members of the joint forces were able to shoot down the second drone of the Houthi militia, on Tuesday evening, in the sky of the city of Al-Durahimi, south of the city of Hodeidah. A field source said that the members of the 3rd Infantry Brigade, stationed east of the city of Al-Durahimi, were able to shoot down the second Houthi drone that was flying over their positions.
