Violent battles in Hailan, Al-Mishga, and Al-Makhdarah in Sirwah and shooting down a Houthi drone

Military sources said that clashes broke out, at dawn on Thursday, on a number of fronts of Sirwah, between the army and the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen.


According to the sources, the Houthi militia launched a heavy attack from several axes on the fronts of Al-Mashga, Hailan, and Al-Makhdarah in Sirwah. The coalition aircraft managed to repel the militia attacks on Thursday.

Military sources told Newsyemen that 15 soldiers of the army forces were killed during the three-day battles, while dozens were wounded, and in return, the military sources say dozens of Houthi coup militias, including a field leader, were killed in battles with the army forces in the Sirwah front, west of Ma'rib Governorate.


According to the military media, the battles resulted in the killing of a Houthi field commander and seven of his companions in a successful solicitation in the Sirwah Directorate.

It stated, "Dozens of militias were killed during the night of Wednesday, and the early hours of Thursday in clashes and artillery shelling of Houthi gatherings in the front of Sirwah."

In the context, the army forces managed to shoot down a militia drones plane in Al-Mahdara on Thursday.

It is the second Houthi drone that the army has shot down in Marib in twenty-four hours.
