Al-Wali inspects ongoing preparations to face Coronavirus threat at Al-Amal Hospital

In implementation of the directives of Aidros Al-Zubaidi, President of the Transitional Council, Dr. Abdel Nasser Al-Wali, member of the Presidency Council, Head of the Local Command in the capital, Aden, today, Monday, visited Al-Amal Hospital.

Dr. Al-Wali discussed with the hospital administration, which has been equipped as a quarantine for new or suspected cases of infection with the emerging coronavirus, to provide support to the hospital.

 Dr. Al-Wali stressed the importance of committing to implementing the directives and instructions issued by the concerned authorities and not neglecting them, to avoid an imminent catastrophe.

 It also called on all citizens of the capital, Aden, to obey the instructions of the security belt and other competent security authorities and not to violate them.

The governor stressed the importance of preparing rooms for intensive care and treatment in a very urgent way, appealing to the Arab coalition countries led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, the People's Republic of China, and the World Health Organization to lend a hand to the southern people to avoid the risk of the spread of this deadly virus.

 In the context of his field trip, Dr. Al-Wali visited the High Authority for Medicines in the capital, Aden, where he met Dr. Abdel-Qader Al-Bakri, head of the authority, and the leadership of the authority.

During the visit, Dr. Al-Wali briefed on the preparations and measures taken by the authority to cover the increasing demand for medicines and devices in hospitals and medical facilities.


 The Governor stressed the need to respond quickly to the increasing demand for medicines and provide them on time, and to monitor the local market to prevent monopoly operations and exploitation by drug suppliers in this difficult circumstance the country is going through.
