The joint forces responded to the sources of fire and artillery shelling that targeted citizens farms in the Al-Durahimi district, south of Hodeidah, on Monday evening, after the extinguishing of fire sources and new sites in Hays.

A military source in the joint forces stated that the Houthi militia targeted 7 120 artillery shells, three palm plantations, to citizens of the south and southeast of the city of Al-Durahimi.

It said that the combined forces responded with appropriate weapons to the sources of the fire and extinguished them, achieving direct hits at locations used by the militias to target.

Earlier, military sources explained to Newsyemen that the militia continued to shell it with mortar shells, the residential neighborhoods on the outskirts of the city from the east and the north, and created a state of panic and fear among the people.

The sources confirmed that the joint forces stationed in the cross lines responded to the fire sources and demolished sites created by the militias from the north, in which snipers, machine guns, and artillery shells were installed.

The sources pointed out that the heroes were able to put out the sources of fire that the militias were targeting from the residential neighborhoods and left a number of civilian victims dead or wounded this week in the city center.

In the city of Hays, south of Hodeidah, a citizen was killed by a mine planted by Houthi elements during farms and grazing areas.

Local sources said, "Salem Naji Dubleh, 30, was killed by a mine explosion while shepherding sheep in the Dar Naji area, west of the city."
