Al-Hodeidah, Newsyemen:

The Emirates Red Crescent Authority has responded to the distress call of the displaced, by conducting a convoy of food and shelter aid for the displaced people affected by the torrents and rains that were exposed to the Al-Hayma camp in Al-Tuhaita district and the displacement camps in Al-Khokha, south of Hodeidah.

On Friday morning, the authority distributed food and shelter aid to hundreds of affected displaced people, whose camps were swept away by torrential rains, their property destroyed, and forced out into the open.

The affected IDPs expressed their thanks to the Emirates Red Crescent Authority for this generous humanitarian gesture, which alleviated their suffering due to the difficult conditions in which they are living due to the damage they were exposed to as a result of the torrential rains and torrents.

This urgent response by the Emirates Red Crescent Authority comes within the framework of the humanitarian work provided by the United Arab Emirates for the displaced and residents in Hodeidah Governorate and the West Coast to alleviate their suffering due to the difficult conditions in which they live.
