22 working papers at a conference of 30 companies, investment institutions and the governor of the capital: “Aden faces challenges”

In the presence of the governors of the capital, Aden and Lahj, and a number of officials in the two governorates ... the first construction and contracting conference organized by the Investor Corporation for Conferences and Exhibitions was inaugurated in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry - Aden and the General Investment Authority, and under the auspices of the “strategic partner, the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen,” according to what it included in conference documents.
In the opening ceremony, the governor of the capital, "Aden", Ahmed Hamed Lamlas said that the convening of the conference with regard to the capital, Aden, strengthens the efforts made "to restore Aden to its pioneering economic and commercial role for which it has been famous for so long ago," saying that it is "an important and long-awaited event, which is taking it towards an upcoming transformation and a better future after years of war. "
Lamlas, the Secretary-General of the Transitional Council, added: "Aden is laying the first building blocks and is steadily stepping into the march of construction, development and prosperity. Aden which always return to facing challenges, today embraces this event towards development, investment and the creation of solid floors."
According to the documents of the Investor Foundation, the conference discusses: the current reality of the construction and contracting sector and the requirements for its development, the institutional building of government agencies concerned with the activity of construction and contracting, the promotion of projects and investment opportunities in the field of mineral and quarantine resources and the requirements for their exploitation, the available investment opportunities in the field of reconstruction, the problems that hinder investment in the sector. The conference aims to "strengthen the partnership of the business community and open new horizons for the advancement of the development and reconstruction process."
Its activities will continue for two consecutive days, during which 22 working papers presented by government agencies, specialists from the University of Aden, businessmen and investment companies will be discussed.
The discussion is accompanied by an exhibition that was held by more than 30 companies and investment institutions exhibiting samples of their products and achievements, in addition to the participation of a group of academics, specialists and those involved in the field of construction, contracting, and investment.
