Taiz, NewsYemen:

Local sources said that the Director of Security for Jabal Habashi Tariq Al-Burkani, yesterday evening, arrested members of the Community Committee for Rehabilitation and Repair of Al-Ashrouh Bani Bakari Road while they were on the road to supervise the paving and surveying process.

The sources added that the security director went out with a campaign and arrested the members of the community committee chosen by the people to pave and repair the line connecting the isolation Al-Sharaja and Bani Bakari.

The arrest of the members of the committee sparked widespread discontent in the Directorate, as the people considered this abuse of projects financed by the people in retaliation from the people of the region for preventing them from smuggling fuel to the Houthi militia areas.

The people of the region forcibly prevented the passage of diesel and oil shipments through their areas to the areas controlled by the Houthi militia, which prompted the forces of the 17th Infantry Brigade to send a military campaign to attack the villages of the area and chase the youths who responded to the smuggling operation under the auspices of the 17th Infantry Brigade and the battalion stationed in the area, led by officers  They belong to the Reform Party.

The movement was the focus of a military campaign against the security director of Jabal Habashi Directorate on the false accusation of preventing the smuggling of oil derivatives into the Houthi areas.

After the removal of Director Tawfiq Al-Waqar, it became clear that the smuggling operation had doubled significantly and under the auspices of the 17th Brigade, one of the military arms of the Muslim Brotherhood movement.
