Riyadh, NewsYemen:

Today, the Arab coalition forces announced that they had shot down an explosive drone launched by the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, towards southern Saudi Arabia.

This is the seventh bombed plane that the coalition shot down before reaching Saudi territory within 48 hours, and the second during the day, Monday.

Earlier Sunday, the coalition forces shot down five Houthi booby-trapped drones towards Saudi Arabia.

The spokesman for the coalition forces, Colonel Turki Al-Maliki, said that the coalition forces were able to intercept and destroy a drone (booby trapped) launched by the terrorist Houthi militia in a systematic and deliberate manner to target civilian objects and civilians in the southern region of Saudi Arabia.

The defenses of the Arab coalition over the past months have thwarted several Houthi attempts to target southern Saudi Arabia, while it carried out several raids on Houthi targets to limit the Houthis' capabilities in launching drones.
