On Thursday, the commander of the 9th Thunderbolt Brigade, Brigadier General Farouq Al-Kaalouli, escaped from an assassination attempt and a robbery near the city of Enmaa in the capital, Aden.

A source in the office of Brigadier General Farouk confirmed to "Newsyemen" that the bombing, which occurred early on Thursday morning, near the Palace Hotel in Aden, targeted the Brigadier’s office with an explosive device.

However, he confirmed that he was not injured, as he was traveling in a car other than his well-known car.

Brigadier General Farouq leads the 9th brigade that secures the areas of Sabaiha in the face of the Brotherhood's attempts to penetrate the area to secure sources of smuggling and to expand south and west to the shores of the Red Sea.
