Fierce battles broke out in Al-Dhalea governorate on Wednesday night, amid the sound of violent explosions as a result of an exchange of artillery shelling between Iran's arm on the one hand, and the southern forces on the other hand.

A military source described the battles as violent and the two sides' use of all kinds of heavy weapons in Battar and al-Jubb, west of Hajar, northwest of al-Dhalea.

The source said that the confrontations and clashes were largely concentrated in the sector of Battar, Mashareih and Al-Jubb, and expanded to the Al-Fakher sector, Hubail and Markhaza, west of the city of Qataba, and the confrontations are still their fiercest.

He pointed out that the clashes are being heard extensively in remote areas, and that violent explosions resonated with artillery exchanges that shook the various combat axes on the fronts north of Al-Dhalea.

The southern forces inflicted heavy losses on the Houthi militia in the intense artillery bombardment that destroyed the sites and sources of their intensity of fire, according to the source.
