The Giants Brigades began the tasks of separating the forces of the Transitional Council and the legitimate forces in Abyan Governorate, in southern Yemen.
The step comes after a meeting between the leadership of the Giants Brigades forces with the Saudi committee that supervises the withdrawal process and the ceasefire in Abyan and a number of site leaders to discuss the joint workflow.
Military sources stated that the Giants Brigades began deploying separation and monitoring points in the contact areas between the two parties, in implementation of the Riyadh Agreement.
The Giants Command had announced the movement of a military force to Abyan to separate the transitional and legitimate forces, in light of a mandate from the Arab coalition.
In the meantime, the engineering teams of the Giants Brigades are conducting survey and clearance operations for the areas separating the two parties to the conflict, to remove mines and explosives to secure them.
