 In his first “tweets” after announcing the formation of his new government, the Prime Minister, Maeen Abdulmalik, emphasized the task of “accelerating the restoration of the state and ending the Houthi coup.”

The UN envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffiths, considered the formation of the government a “pivotal step towards a permanent political solution to the conflict,” and, in a press statement, Griffiths welcomed the positive developments in the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement, including the formation of the new government.

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, in a statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency, that it welcomes the implementation by the Yemeni parties represented by the legitimate government and the Southern Transitional Council of the Riyadh Agreement, and the announced formation of a government of political competencies that includes all components of the Yemeni spectrum, after the implementation of the military arrangements for the departure of the military forces from (Aden) governorate, the separation of the military forces in (Abyan) and their transfer to their elected positions.

The Saudi Foreign Ministry appreciated the Yemeni parties ’keenness to uphold Yemen’s interest and achieve the aspirations of its people to restore security and stability, considering the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement an important step towards achieving a political solution and ending the Yemeni crisis.

The Ministry affirmed the directives of the Saudi monarch, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman, to continue all efforts made by the Kingdom to support the Republic of Yemen in order to achieve its security, stability and prosperity.

Egypt also welcomed the announcement of a government of political competencies in Yemen in implementation of the Riyadh agreement between the government and the Southern Transitional Council. In a statement published by the Egyptian official news agency, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Hafed described the formation of the government as “an important step towards reaching a comprehensive political settlement to the Yemeni crisis.”

In turn, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation praised the implementation of the legitimate government and the Southern Transitional Council of the Riyadh Agreement and the formation of a government of political competencies.

Secretary-General Yusef Al-Othaimeen, according to a tweet published by the organization’s account, appreciated the Yemeni parties ’keenness to implement the Riyadh Agreement to reach a political solution and end the Yemeni crisis, in a way that achieves Yemen’s interest and restores security and stability.

The UN envoy, Martin Griffiths, also welcomed the formation of the government, saying, "This is an important step to enhance stability, improve state institutions and raise the level of political partnership."

The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs praised the implementation of the legitimate Yemeni government and the Southern Transitional Council the provisions of the Riyadh Agreement.

He welcomed the British Foreign Secretary, saying: "a step towards implementing the Riyadh Agreement."

China expressed its happiness, describing the move as a "great achievement".

The Chinese embassy in Yemen said in a tweet on Twitter: “We believe that this great achievement will contribute to achieving peace in southern Yemen and Yemen as a whole, and restore hope to the Yemeni people.”
