The Arab Coalition: Iran supports the Houthi hostilities in Bab al-Mandab

On Friday, the Joint Forces Command of the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen announced the discovery and destruction of a marine mine planted by the Houthi militia in the south of the Red Sea, and said that the mine discovered in the south of the Red Sea is an Iranian-made shell.

The coalition indicated that "the hostile Houthi actions, with Iranian support, threaten the security of the Bab al-Mandab Strait."

He pointed out that "a total of 171 marine mines randomly deployed by the militias have been removed and destroyed."

On Thursday, the Joint Forces Command of the Coalition announced that the terrorist Houthi militia launched a ballistic missile from Sana'a Governorate, and that it landed inside Saada Governorate.

The spokesman for the coalition forces, Brigadier General Turki Al-Maliki, stated that the Iranian-backed terrorist Houthi militia launched a ballistic missile on Thursday morning (December 17, 2020) from Sana'a Governorate using civilian objects at the launch site, and it fell 158 km after its launch inside Yemeni territory in Saada governorate.

Brigadier General Al-Maliki stated that the Houthi militia continues to violate international humanitarian law by firing ballistic missiles and landing indiscriminately on civilians, as well as population centers that threaten the lives of hundreds of civilians.
