Aden, NewsYemen:

The Deputy Head of the Media Department of the Southern Transitional Council, Mansour Saleh, warned of the continuation of the Brotherhood’s obstacles in the way of the new competencies government, whose announcement culminated in a decisive and pivotal Saudi effort.

Fears of the Brotherhood's fabrication of new obstacles still exist, largely in the wake of the policy of distributing the orientations adopted by the Islah party (the political lever for the international terrorist organization) to seize the shares of parties and other power centers.

The leader in the Transitional Council did not rule out that the Brotherhood and their allies would plant booby-trapped trenches in the way of the government headed by Dr. Maeen Abdulmalik, taking advantage of its influence and great control in the joints of state institutions.

He said, in press statements, that the Brotherhood’s infiltration during the past years contributed to hijacking the legitimacy decision, and reached a point in exploiting the presidency for the benefit of its destructive project, adding that “there are groups opposed to the Riyadh agreement represented by the Brotherhood and those who walk in their tracks create big traps to thwart the tasks of the new government".

Saleh indicated that had it not been for the great insistence of Saudi Arabia, the political parties would not have reached a consensus on forming a new government, which resulted in a bloodbath following its decisive intervention in silencing the guns on the ground based on the Riyadh agreement.

He pointed out that the pivotal role of the brothers in the Saudi-led coalition pushed all parties to reach a high level of implementation of the Riyadh Agreement matrix and resulted in consensus in the midst of relentless attempts by some parties within the legitimacy aimed at thwarting peace and continuing the war to disrupt the mobilization of efforts towards the real battle with the Houthi coup.

He noted that the most important steps and paved the way for the formation of the government to come to light emerged after what was accomplished in the military part in accordance with the Riyadh Agreement, stopping the bloodshed and separating the warring forces due to the great effort of the Arab coalition forces led by Saudi Arabia and the active participation of the UAE.

He pointed out that the Southern Transitional Council provided responsible flexibility in implementing the military aspect and likewise at the negotiating table, and also cut off its commitment to implementing the terms of the mechanism to accelerate the Riyadh Agreement and redeploy the military forces between the temporary capital of Aden and Abyan Governorate, the way for any terrorist efforts to undermine the agreement a year after its conclusion.

According to Saleh, the transitional council implemented "what it had to do in the military aspect by repositioning its military forces outside Aden and withdrawing from the contact lines in Abyan, based on a deployment map provided by the Arab coalition and determined the positioning in certain locations."
