The army finds 6 Houthi naval mines northwest of the Red Sea

On Saturday evening, December 26, 2020, Yemeni army forces discovered six naval mines belonging to the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, northwest of the Red Sea.

Military sources indicated that the Marine Formation Forces in the Fifth Military Region found six naval mines northwest of the Red Sea.

On Friday, the Arab coalition announced the explosion of a sea mine planted by the Houthis in a commercial cargo ship south of the Red Sea, and caused minor damage to the bow of the ship without causing any casualties.

The coalition confirmed the increase in terrorist militia activity in planting mines in the southern Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab Strait.

He pointed out that the militia cultivation of marine mines is a serious threat to international shipping and global trade.
