Houthi attack ignites confrontations in the air defense front in Taiz

On Sunday evening, violent confrontations broke out between the army forces on one side and the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, on the other hand, in the northwestern front of the city of Taiz.
A military source told NewsYemen that the Houthi militia launched an attack targeting army positions in the air defense northwest of the city under heavy fire cover.
He indicated that the army repelled the attack and forced the militia to retreat to their positions.
The Houthi militia and the army have shared control of sites in the air defense camp since 2015, and neither side has been able to control the camp alone, while they have lost dozens of dead and wounded in sniping, mutual bombing and mine explosions.
