On Saturday, the joint forces seized a shipment of smuggled materials used to manufacture explosive devices, while it was on its way to the Houthi militia-controlled areas.
A security source said that a security patrol of the Bab al-Mandab Brigade managed to seize the shipment, which was on board a car in the reefs of the Khamri valleys, near the Saqia area, after a successful security and intelligence operation.
He added that the car, the materials on board and its drivers were referred to the competent authorities to take the necessary legal measures.
The operation comes as part of the efforts made by the joint forces to prevent smuggling and maintain security along the coastal strip of the liberated areas.
