Aden, NewsYemen:

On Thursday, government forces announced that 20 members of the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, were killed by artillery shelling during an infiltration in the Ma'rib governorate, east of Sanaa.

The Ministry of Defense said, in a statement, that its forces targeted, with similar artillery shelling, Houthi gatherings on the Jabal Murad and Al-Abdiyyah fronts, south of Marib, which led to the killing and wounding of more than 20 Houthis, and the destruction of combat vehicles.

It indicated that the Houthis had been killed and wounded in raids by the Arab coalition warplanes, targeting their gatherings at the Al-Mashjah front, west of Marib.

The statement added that the government forces and the popular resistance "are waging continuous battles against the Houthi group at the Serwah front, and they are inflicting heavy human and material losses."

On Wednesday, the coalition fighters thwarted ground attacks by the Houthis in the western outskirts of Marib.

The Ministry of Defense stated that the coalition fighters damaged 2 armored vehicles and 3 military patrols of the Houthis, at the Serwah front, and targeted human reinforcements on their way to Serwah, killing all of them.
