Soldiers from the Ministry of Interior set up checkpoints in the center of Seiyun city in Hadhramaut governorate, a day before the holding of the Land Day event called for by the Southern Transitional Council, which will be held on Wednesday and Thursday in the center of Seiyun, the center of Hadhramout Valley.

Citizens and eyewitnesses told NewsYemen that the soldiers of the Interior Minister loyal to the Brotherhood are searching vehicles and requesting identification cards for pedestrians on Roundabout Al-Shafei Street, Mosul, to Al-Sitteen Street, the headquarters of the government departments complex, and the Republican Palace in which the minister and his companions live.

Citizens of Seiyun, who live around the checkpoints, expressed their indignation at what the soldiers of the Minister of Interior are doing, blackmailing people passing into their homes next to the security barriers, and imposing restrictions on them when they leave their homes at the last hours of the night, in addition to their intention to provoke chaos and riots to line up cars and vehicles in long queues to be searched.  The loudness of annoying car horns and their effect on the sleep of children and the elderly.

This comes at a time when the cities of Hadramawt Valley are witnessing preparations for a large public mobilization expected to participate in the two million Southern Land Day with a ceremony and a rhetorical festival, rejecting the Brotherhood’s interventions in Hadramawt and Shabwa, and demanding the departure of the forces of the first military region from Wadi Hadramawt, which is scheduled to be held Thursday afternoon in front of the historic Seiyun Palace, the most prominent landmark  Wadi Hadramout, preceded by a foot and motorbike march on Wednesday evening to confirm the presence and participation of the people of the south in their legitimate demands and the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement.
