Al-Jawf Governorate is witnessing an armed tribal uprising against the Iranian-backed Houthi militia, in four districts, including the city of Al-Hazm, the provincial capital, against the backdrop of Houthi violations and harassment against the tribesmen.

Local sources confirmed that the tribes of "Daham, Al Nouf, Al Hussein, and Al Saqra Al Shulan" announced the mobilization and fight against the Houthi militias in the districts of "Al Matma, Al Matun and Al Ghail" besides the city of Al Hazm, and cut off the road linking Sana'a and Al Jawf in the "Al Kharid" valley in Al Matma.  Meanwhile, the Al Hussein tribes cut off the road linking Amran and Saada from the direction of Al Ghail District.

l-Jawf tribes carried out a tight ambush against the Houthis fighting convoy in the "Maimra" area of the Al-Maton district, which was on its way to reinforce their elements in Al-Jawf, which led to the destruction of 13 combat vehicles, killing 10 Houthis, wounding three, and capturing four others, hours after the outbreak of confrontations between the Nouf and Wal  Hussein, against Houthi elements in the districts of Matma and Al-Ghail.

It is noteworthy that the uprising of the Al-Jawf tribes is concentrated in districts close to the countryside of the capital, Sana’a, and the governorate of Amran.

The official spokesman for the Sixth Military Region in Al-Jawf affiliated with the internationally recognized government, Rabie Al-Qurashi, sent a message to the leaders of the Yemeni army and the Arab coalition, urging them to take advantage of the opportunity to liberate Al-Jawf in conjunction with the uprising of the tribes that closed all the ports between Al-Jawf, Sana'a and Amran.

Al-Qurashi stressed the importance of seizing this opportunity if the Arab coalition forces had the intention to liberate the province, pointing out that resolving the battle today is easier than tomorrow in Al-Jawf.
