Aden, NewsYemen:

The Murad tribe, the largest tribe in the Marib Governorate (northeast of Yemen), announced its rejection of the initiative handed over by the Houthi militia to the Omani delegation, calling it the "Marib Initiative", considering it a political maneuver devoid of any real peace.

The Murad tribes confirmed, in a statement, that the document was just a Houthi attempt to push the deceived people from M'rib who are still in the capital, Sana'a, to fight against the people of their governorate.

The statement said that the Houthi initiative is nothing but a political maneuver that carries within it the declaration of a new war on Marib and its tribes.

He stressed that "the great sacrifices that were made in order to defend Marib and the Republic and restore the state cannot be compromised with unfair and unrealistic initiatives."

The statement said that the tribes' problem with Al-Houthi is due to "his coup against the state, bypassing all laws and customs," noting that deceptive political maneuvers will not bring peace.

He also affirmed the people of Marib’s rejection of solutions that do not include the major issue and the restoration of the state, or an initiative that attaches the charges to the people of the province and its tribes, adding: “ The presence of al-Qaeda and ISIS elements, which indicates that al-Houthi has no intention of peace.”

The Murad tribe pointed out that it and the governorate’s tribes went out to fight Al-Houthi, who started the war on them and imposed war on the Yemenis, to protect themselves, their land and their homeland from a brutal enemy who wants to rule them with force, killing and destruction.

It stressed that whoever invaded Marib with his flocks, killed, shed blood, destroyed and burned the land, cannot be a partner, noting that "the nation's wealth is not the preserve of anyone to bargain or distribute it unless there is a national agreement, which was rejected by the Houthi militia."

The statement went on to say, "The fragmentation of solutions is deceptive attempts by the Houthi militia to control the oil and gas sources, not to shed blood."

He warned that the Houthi initiative is only an attempt to establish a fait accompli, and media marketing for a limited period in which the Houthi wants to rearrange its ranks again, and wage war on the fronts of Marib, as the terms of the initiative are not peace clauses.

He considered that what the Houthis claimed in the initiative about the partnership of the sons of Marib by virtue of their governorate was a "flagrant fallacy", pointing out that they rule the governorates under their control, not its people .
