Aden Electricity calls on the presidency and the government to provide fuel for power stations

Aden, NewsYemen:

 The General Electricity Corporation, in the capital, Aden, called on the presidency and the government to quickly provide emergency fuel to the generation stations, warning that the rest of the stations would go out of service due to the running out of diesel.

The Foundation said, in a statement published by the media center, that the remaining quantities of diesel in the tanks of Aden refineries, for a period of only two days, which will exacerbate the high hours of power outages and enter the city of Aden in complete darkness.

And it warned that running out of fuel threatens to leave all diesel-powered generating stations, which constitute more than 80% of Aden's electricity generation, and keep the Mansoura and Al-Haswa stations that run on diesel.

Aden Electricity demanded the necessity of providing sufficient quantities of diesel until the arrival of the fourth batch of the Saudi grant, in order to preserve the continuity of generating stations.

The Corporation expressed its deep regret to the citizens due to the high hours of interruptions due to the running out of fuel.
