Saudi Arabia stops renewing visas for senior Yemeni government employees

 Saudi Arabia has canceled visitor visas for Yemeni government officials and their families, and stopped renewing them.

Media sources said that the Saudi authorities stopped renewing the visas of ministers and senior Yemeni government employees residing in the Kingdom.

The sources linked the move to Riyadh's desire for the legitimate government to return to Aden, to carry out its duties towards the citizens, and also to confront the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen.

It is noteworthy that the Saudi authorities recently retracted an undisclosed decision they had taken earlier to deport Yemeni workers from the entire southern regions of the Kingdom.

A Yemeni government source told NewsYemen that the kingdom had suspended the decision after it had already started the procedures for laying off employees and workers of Yemeni nationality.
