US senator calls on Biden to quickly return the Houthis to the terrorist list

The Republican US Senator, Ted Cruz, affirmed that he is committed to pressuring the Joe Biden administration to quickly re-impose sanctions on the Houthi militia to stop their attacks.

Cruz's statement came after the terrorist attack carried out by the Houthi militia on civilian facilities in the UAE, which led to the death of 3 people and the injury of 6 others.

The prominent Republican senator stated that he is committed to pressure the US administration to quickly re-impose sanctions related to terrorist organizations regarding the Houthi group, with the aim of stopping their attacks.

He criticized the Biden administration for removing the Houthis from the terrorist list, saying that "this step is reckless and would support the Iranian regime."

He said that the Houthis responded to the lifting of sanctions "quickly and predictably by escalating their attacks and impeding the delivery of humanitarian aid."
