Field sources in Shabwa governorate confirmed that the forces of the Southern Giants Brigades were advancing towards Aqabat Mala'a, located between the districts of Juba and Harib, south of Marib Governorate, after taking control of large parts of the Harib district at dawn today.
The sources pointed out that the process of advancing towards Mala'a and cutting off the supply route between Harib and the fronts south of the city of Ma'rib came after the control of Mount Shuqair overlooking the city of Harib and the Iranian-backed Houthi militia fleeing from large areas towards Al-Badiyah and Al-Juba.
It pointed out that the southern forces managed today to control all the heights overlooking the city of Harib, the center of the directorate in "Al-Hashfa, Al-Qal'a and Al-Qana'a", in addition to Jabal Shuqair, and continued their advance towards Mala'a, the separator between Harib and Al-Juba.
The giants had arrived on the tenth of January in the "Lasad" area near Mala'a, after "Najd Marqad" towards Harib, and stopped to give an opportunity to mediators to persuade the militias to leave the city of Harib after the collapse of its terrorist elements, and instead of taking advantage of the opportunity to get out, Al-Houthi strengthened his positions in the area , which prompted the giants to carry out the last operations, and it was able to liberate almost the entire district of Ain west of Shabwa, and it reached its progress in the Harib district and reached the Al-Abdiya district in southern Marib.
According to the sources, the fronts south of Marib, extending from al-Balaq in al-Juba to Umm Reesh, Mala’a, Laza, al-Amud and other desert areas between al-Balaq and Mala’a, are now isolated, awaiting purification of Houthi elements present there.
