Aden, NewsYemen:

The governor of Marib, Major General Sultan al-Arada, said that what the southern "giants brigades" had done with the support of the coalition in Shabwa and the Harib district, south of the governorate, was a great achievement, and a tributary that eased the Houthi militia's pressure on Marib.

Al-Arada said, in an interview with "Al-Sharq al-Awsat" newspaper, that what happened in Shabwa was a great tributary to us through what the "Giant Brigades" achieved with the popular resistance, and they were able to achieve excellent goals in Shabwa and Harib, and God willing, they will complete the rest.

The Governor of Ma'rib thanked the forces of the Southern Giants for their role in liberating Shabwa and relieving pressure on the Yemeni National Army, tribes and resistance forces in Marib.

He praised the efforts of the Arab coalition in Yemen and its standing with the Yemeni people, and said that the role of the coalition does not stop at supporting air strikes, but rather extends to logistical and humanitarian support.

Despite the tragedies caused by the Houthis in the province and which continue to this day, Al-Arada confirms that Marib continues to supply all areas under Houthi control without any discrimination, considering this a moral and humanitarian duty, not related to the war.

He said that domestic cooking gas arrives from Ma'rib to all Yemeni regions, including areas under Houthi control, and said that it even reaches Abd al-Malik al-Houthi Cave.

Al-Arada believes that the Houthis and those behind them should realize that Yemenis “will not be ruled by force of arms.” He said, “We will only govern through the Yemeni constitution and consensus among all Yemenis.”

The governor stressed that “history will not forget” the Iranian intervention, adding: “We tell Iran to stop the bloodshed in the Arab peoples, and in Yemen in particular, for the purpose of expansion and harming these peoples.”

By asking him about being severely attacked by the Houthis after his recent statements about their inability to control Marib?  Al-Arada replied that "the issue is one of a nation and a state, and the Yemeni state has been looted, and Yemen needs stability and a government in which people can live."
