A member of the Presidential Leadership Council, Brigadier General Tariq Muhammad Abdullah Saleh, laid the foundation stone for the completion of the rest of the facilities of Al-Mokha International Airport, after the completion of the runway and the start of air traffic to this vital artery that will serve the people of Taiz, Al-Hudaydah and all regions of Yemen.
The foundation stone was laid today, Thursday, in the presence of the Governor of Taiz Governorate, Nabil Shamsan, the Governor of Hodeidah Governorate, Hassan Taher, and a number of government and local leaders in the two governorates.
The project includes the construction of an airport building that includes various facilities such as reception and departure halls, a control tower and various service facilities. With the support and funding of the United Arab Emirates. The project will contribute to revitalizing air traffic through the airport, to begin receiving and discharging passengers on commercial flights.
Brigadier General Tariq Saleh said in a post on his account on the social networking site Twitter: "After the completion of the runway and the start of air traffic, today we laid the foundation stone for the rest of the facilities of Mocha International Airport."
A member of the Presidential Leadership Council added, "We are returning this city to its position as a gateway between Yemen and the world, and its airport serves Taiz, Hodeidah and all regions of the Republic."
And he continued, saying: "With liberation and reconstruction, we face the devastation caused by Iran's Houthi arm in our country."

The establishment of Al-Mocha International Airport is one of the most important development and service projects in the transport sector on the western coast, and it was approved by the Council of Ministers last September as an air port for Taiz Governorate.
