The Minister of Sports in the Iranian branch of government in Sana'a, Hassan Muhammad Zaid, who was also the Secretary General of the Al-Haq Party, was killed.
"Alaa Abdulkarim Al-Khaiwani" quoted eyewitnesses as saying that the minister was shot on Tuesday morning, on Hadda Street, accompanied by his daughter, who got out of her father's car terrified, seeking help, while the gunmen fled.
She said that the minister and his daughter were injured, and confirmed the news that the minister was killed and the fate of his daughter was not known.
A picture of the scene of the accident shows that he was assassinated in the tunnel of Hadda Street in the residential city, while he was driving his car, which crashed into a roadblock after his death.
Eyewitnesses say that a gunman on a motorcycle shot him and fled.
