Accusations of an advisor from the Muslim Brotherhood, in Lahj, of looting aid in refugee camps

Fahd Rajeh, the founder of the camps and the host of the displaced in the district of Tuban, appealed to the governor of Lahj governorate, Major General Ahmed Turki, to intervene to stop the corruption of a Brotherhood advisor who works in plundering relief aid.


Rajeh, the governor's advisor for organizations affairs, Omar Al-Samati, was accused of controlling and controlling the work of international organizations and interfering in the affairs of the Office of Planning and International Cooperation and the directorates general of the directorates.

The founder of the displaced camps said that the Tuban directorate, which includes 7 displacement camps, was unable to appoint or change the director of a camp or to exercise any authority related to the displaced.

Also, the director general of the Directorate or his representative could not communicate with any organization or attend any session of the Brotherhood’s influence, exploiting his position to dominate all matters and marginalize all offices and departments related to the work of organizations, displaced persons and relief.

Rajeh, the counselor of the organizations, was accused of using private warehouses to hide and plunder large quantities of aid provided to the displaced in partnership with some officials of the establishments and the practice of defrauding all the regulatory authorities with fake launch plays.

The founder of the displacement camps Buban confirmed that he had evidence to prove all the transgression and tampering with the relief file in Lahj governorate and against the so-called Samati.

The governor of the province called for intervening to stop Omar Al-Samati, to exercise powers that are not within his competence and to impede the work of the Office of Planning and International Cooperation and the directorates in the exercise of the tasks of administrative work related to the relief aspect and the work of organizations, considering that a matter inconsistent with the law and ethics.

He said in the complaint, “Mr. Governor, and as we put forward this complaint, we ask you  to stop those who manipulate and exploit their position in injustice and deny poor families access to aid and its monopoly over close people, calling on the governor of Lahj to collect all managers and the planning office in the governorate and to define the tasks of each administration and raise that to organizations.
