The governor of Aden sets priorities for directors of directorates: providing services and combating extraneous phenomena

The governor of the capital, Aden, Ahmed Hamid Lamlas, stressed on Saturday the importance of the great role of local authorities in the directorates, in normalizing life and instilling civil behavior in their societies.

Governor Ahmed Lamlas, during his presiding over the periodic meeting of directors of directorates and directors of the Public Works and Roads Office and the Cleaning, Improvement, Water and Sanitation Fund, made it clear that there is a great responsibility that falls on the managers, leaders and members of the local authorities in the directorates in combating the anomalous and extraneous phenomena of the Adeni community.

Lamlas stressed the speedy fight against the phenomena of assault on public property, random construction, sabotage of public interests, carrying weapons and firing bullets, and promoting, spreading and using contraband, stressing the need to coordinate with the security services to implement security campaigns against the perpetrators of these phenomena, and to arrest them and hold them accountable.

The governor of the capital touched on the electricity situation and the daily problems that the local authority faces in this aspect, and said: “Since we received the governorate administration at the end of last August, we have had a problem in providing fuel for power stations, and during that period we have been working to provide electricity fuel in different ways with the cooperation of the merchants. "

He added, "The commercial stock of diesel fuel belonging to the merchants has been exhausted by us,", stressing that he will work with all his efforts, along with all those who love this city, to overcome this difficult stage in the history of the capital, Aden.

The meeting listened to the reports submitted by the directors-general of the directorates on the activities that took place in their directorates during the past two weeks, where they were discussed, the level of implementation was assessed, and the necessary actions were taken.

The meeting discussed a number of issues related to the services and financial resources sectors, such as the sanitation problem in Sheikh Othman, the process of distributing domestic gas, the weakness of revenues and ways to enhance and develop them, as well as the problem of the displaced, and taking appropriate solutions regarding them.
