On Tuesday, a military force from the Giants Brigades moved to deploy in the contact areas between the STC forces and the Brotherhood militia, in Abyan Governorate, in southern Yemen.
The Media Center for the Giants Brigades stated that directives were issued by the Arab coalition, to lead the "giants", to send a military force to separate the Southern Transitional Council forces from the legitimate forces in Abyan governorate.
He stated that the Giants' forces will place dividing points in the demarcation lines to separate the forces of the two sides, which have begun to withdraw in implementation of the military part of the Riyadh Agreement.
The media center quoted a brigade commander in the Giants as saying that the forces took over the mission under the command of Brigadier General Abdul Rahman Abu Zarah Al-Mahrami in order to go to Abyan to keep the peace and deploy points to fill the security vacuum.
