Sanaa, NewsYemen, Exclusive:

The Houthi militia has removed the leader in its ranks, Nabil Al-Wazir, from the position of Minister of Water and Environment in the government of Abdulaziz bin Habtoor - not internationally recognized - which is run by the Houthi militia since it robbed state institutions in Sanaa in September 2014.

The minister's dismissal came amid sharp differences between Houthi leaderships centered on the right to steal relief aid funds provided to areas under the militia’s control, and days after the announcement of Nabil al-Wazir and other officials in the Ministry of Water from work, against the background of what was said to be corruption and embezzlement of aid provided by UNICEF.

On Saturday, December 19, the Houthi militia announced the appointment of Abdul-Raqeeb Abdul Rahman Al-Sharmani, Director of the Water and Sanitation Projects Unit in Urban Cities, to the position of Minister of Water and Environment, to succeed Nabil Al-Wazir, the leader in its ranks.

The activist in the ranks of the group, Osama Sari, said that the minister was dismissed after attending a cabinet meeting last Wednesday, "Nabil the minister was uprooted ... as last Wednesday he was provoked by his persistence in ignoring the decisions to suspend him from work."

Sari added, "He attended the cabinet meeting and sought permission from his secret partner Abdulaziz bin Habtoor to attend the meeting, and he agreed to it, so the political leadership decided to quickly make the decision to change it."

It is noteworthy that Abdulraqeeb Abd al-Rahman al-Sharmani, in addition to the dismissed minister, was at the top of the list of those arrested from work by the Supreme National Authority for Combating Corruption, in mid-November "until the end of the investigation and investigation of financial and administrative corruption cases in the corridors of the Ministry of Water and the Environment."  From the position of director of the Water Corporation in Ibb governorate, against the background of similar corruption cases.
