Aden, NewsYemen, Exclusive:

The Association of Yemeni Universities Delegates and other scholarship destinations in Malaysia issued a statement in which it mentioned the conditions of scholarship students who have not received their dues since last April.

The statement, which began with wishes to the members of the new government for success, wished that the interest in the delegated students would be among its priorities.

The statement held those responsible for scholarship affairs responsible, considering that they were the ones who caused the delay in disbursing the dues, of which only one quarter was disbursed during the year 2020.

The statement detailed the students' pending circumstances and issues, including the loss of the books allowance and field research for 5 years, in addition to the non-payment of fees for (two years) full, which caused the arrest and dismissal of a number of students.

The scholarships affirmed that they are fully aware of the conditions in which the country is living, but they said that this does not mean in any way that they are left facing the fate of being lost, hoping that the new government will avoid previous mistakes and work with a spirit of responsibility to solve all their problems and put an end to their suffering.

According to the statement of the Association President M.  Hussam Al-Dais told "NewsYemen", the most important demands are "to disburse the dues for the second, third, and fourth quarter of the year 2020, and to prepare the first quarter of 2021, which is supposed to be disbursed after ten days."

Al-Dais stressed that the concerned authorities bear full responsibility for the past and subsequent consequences that may result in the continued deterioration of the delegates' conditions.

He thanked and appreciated the role of the print and audio media for constantly following up their situation, stressing that it was and still is the first carrier to convey their voice to the concerned authorities and authorities.
