Marib, NewsYemen:

Military sources revealed that the Chief of the General Staff, Lt. Gen. Saghir Hammoud bin Aziz, approved a new mechanism for spending tips in military areas, in an effort to put an end to the fake names and the non-existent force, amid strong opposition from what it described as a "corruption lobby in the Ministry of Defense."

The sources pointed out that the new mechanism that was agreed upon is based on converting gratuities into sums spent every five days for those present on the battle fronts, noting that the third military zone began, on Monday, the exchange from the fronts, amid the leadership and personnel seeking this mechanism, which will provide the fronts with manpower.

It confirmed that this step would cut the road to the beneficiaries and the worms of corruption in the Ministry of Defense, cancel the rosters and fictitious names, and transfer all sums to the real beneficiaries in the field.

The sources added that an agreement was reached between the Chief of Staff and the leaders of the regions on the one hand, and the leadership of the coalition on the other hand, to spend the incoming tip in Saudi riyals and through committees from the Ministry of Defense and Manpower in the military areas under the supervision of Saudi committees.

It pointed out that this corrective step comes in light of strong opposition from the corruption lobby in the Ministry of Defense, who do not want any steps that would not be in their interest even if they were in the interest of the army and its organization.

Regarding the nature of the tip, the sources clarified that these sums are a bonus from King Salman bin Abdulaziz to the men of fighters stationed on the battle fronts against the Houthi militia, and not a salary until all the National Army’s employees are entitled to it.
