The fronts in the northern Al-Dhalea governorate are witnessing armed clashes between the southern forces on the one hand, and the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, on the other hand, after a relative calm during the past 48 hours.

Field sources said that clashes, which they described as violent, were taking place between the two sides, on the "Al-Fakher" axis, west of Qataba, with artillery exchanges.

"NewsYemen" sources stated that the southern forces launched artillery shelling on the Houthi sites and barracks, in the "Al-Najibat" and "Al-Hamam" areas, west of Al-Fakher, and caused precise injuries.

During last week’s confrontations, the Houthi militia lost a number of field commanders from the first and second ranks, most notably Aidaroos Abdullah Wajih al-Din, commander of the Battar sector, Jaafar Yusef Saleh Ali al-Zahra, nicknamed “Zulfiqar” and Arafat Ahmad Jamal al-Din al-Afif, nicknamed “Abu Attan” Hussein Sufyan.

These Houthi leaderships were killed, along with a number of militia members, by the fire of the southern forces, in the "Battar", "Al Fakher" and "Murais" sectors.

The Houthi militia had brought in reinforcements during the past days, which included heavy weapons, human groups and thermal sniper companies, and distributed them in more than one sector in an attempt to avenge their losses.
