Aden, NewsYemen:

The Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, announced, on Wednesday evening, a new prisoner exchange deal with the forces affiliated with the legitimacy, in the Marib front in the northeast of the country.

The Houthi leader, Abdul Qader Al-Murtada, head of the so-called Prisoners Affairs Committee of the militia, said on his Twitter account that 9 of his group's prisoners were freed in a local exchange operation on the Marib front in northeastern Yemen.

Al-Murtada indicated that the exchange process took place through local mediation.

This deal comes two days after a similar exchange deal, in the contact areas between Marib and Al-Jawf, included 42 prisoners with local mediation, with 21 prisoners from each side.

Also on Monday, Al-Murtada announced that his group had freed 22 of its prisoners in an exchange process through local mediation, without further details.
