Taiz, NewsYemen:

Dozens of citizens demonstrated in the city of Taiz, this morning, to demand the dismissal of corrupt officials in the legitimate authority, the first of whom is the Vice President of the Republic, Lieutenant-General Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar.

The demonstrators renewed their demand for the dismissal of the leaders of the local civil, security and military authorities in Taiz, considering them, as they said, "the head of corruption and the protectors of armed gangs involved in murder and looting spread in the city and the governorate's districts."

They also demanded the dismissal of Vice President Lieutenant-General Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar, "as he is the umbrella for corruption and the first defender of the authority of corruption and organized crime affiliated with the terrorist Brotherhood in Taiz Governorate."

The civil bloc and other labor and professional unions began a wide campaign two months ago to demand the dismissal of officials convicted of corruption, and joined several weekly rituals to pressure the concerned authorities to implement their demands.
