Aden, NewsYemen, special:

Activists renewed their demand for the import of taxes and customs, the largest Yemeni port, "the deposit", to the central bank in the capital, Aden, to address the economic collapse and the Yemeni riyal, as well as oil sales in hard currency in Marib that go to personal accounts.

They condemned the neglect of the "Al-Abar" road of death, by sharing photos of the road full of potholes and bumps despite the huge revenues, unlike the financial corruption that is being imposed on travelers illegally, as the road claimed dozens of lives as a result of those holes lurking travelers with organized gangs also whose members cut off and loot property and souls.

The media and lawyer Ali Nasser al-Awlaki said that the revenues of the deposit outlet alone are sufficient to address the living conditions and save the local currency from collapse, but unfortunately this money goes to the pockets of corrupt officials to build the future of their children and grandchildren at the expense of the suffering of simple citizens.

The Islamist politician, Shammar, shared a picture of the clear road with excavations, and said, "This is the international crossroads that connects Yemen with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia."  Only one week's income from the Yemeni deposit outlet is able to make it 4 lanes in each direction with lighting.

He said, the problem is that the proceeds of the port go to the spoiled child Hashem al-Ahmar, even the central bank in Aden is prohibited from these revenues, like those of Marib.

The southern leader, Wadah bin Attia, demanded, in a previous tweet, that the deposit outlet be handed over to the Hadrami elite as soon as possible, and that Hashem al-Ahmar be brought to trial because of the billions he embezzled daily for the past seven years.

He added, at the table of the Presidency Council, your credibility before the people starts from the deposit outlet.

In the same context, Al-Shabwani activist Muhammad Awad Al-Awlaki said, one month’s revenues from the Al-Wadi’a port are enough to repair the scattered international triangle line to the three governorates (Ma’rib – Shabwa – Hadramout), and for information, the revenues of this vital port are not included in the account of the central bank or the account of an external bank account  for the government.

For his part, activist Hassan Ali said, the sums charged to expatriates are 10 Saudi riyals for entry and exit for many years. It would have been better to re-establish this road, which claimed the lives of many of this people, north and south, but what do we say if those in charge of the state outlet are thieves  And their soldiers are bandits.

And earlier, frightening reports said, that in just one year there were approximately 1,850 accidents, most of which resulted in death.

Earlier, a video was circulating of an employee at the land deposit port, who takes ten Saudi riyals from each expatriate in exchange for stamping his passport. He confirmed that the deposit outlet has witnessed the largest corruption operations in the country in eight years without any intervention to stop this corruption by the competent authorities, despite the renewal of claims periodically.

It is worth noting that the promises and decisions to repair the line began from Prime Minister Ibn Dagher to the Vice President and Governor of Ma’rib.

In April 2018, it was announced that the rehabilitation would start at 2.4 billion riyals, and in February 2020, there was talk of rehabilitating the line within the framework of the Yemen Reconstruction Program.
