Wide welcome for the reform of the judicial institution

Politicians and the media welcomed the decisions issued by the Leadership Council with new appointments to the Supreme Judicial Council, the Supreme Court and the Judicial Inspection Authority.

The decisions stipulated the appointment of Judge Mohsen Yahya Talib Abu Bakr as President of the Judicial Council, succeeding Judge Ali Nasser Salem, and the appointment of Judge Ali Ahmed Nasser Al-Awash as President of the Supreme Court, succeeding Judge Hammoud Al-Hatar, and the appointment of Judge Nazim Hussein Salem Bawazeer as Head of the Judicial Inspection Authority as a member of the Supreme Judicial Council.

The decisions also appointed Judge Qaher Mustafa Ali Ibrahim, the Public Prosecutor of the Republic, Dr. Ali Atbush Awad Muhammad, Secretary-General of the Judicial Council, Judge Sabah Ahmed Saleh Al-Alwani, Judge Abdul Karim Saad Sharaf Al-Noamani and Judge Muhammad Ali Abkar Muhammad Kadish as members of the Supreme Judicial Council.

The Southern Judges Club welcomed the recent decisions, stressing that it is a step towards ending the judicial crisis.

The official spokesman for the Southern Judges Club, Judge "Shaker Mahfouz Binnish," said in a press statement that the decision issued by the Presidential Leadership Council to form the Supreme Judicial Council came as a continuation of the Presidential Leadership Council's keenness to reform and correct the conditions of the judiciary and to meet the decisions of the collective will of the members of the authority Judicial demand for a total change of the Supreme Judicial Council.

In his statement, he explained that the club welcomes this decision issued by the Presidential Leadership Council to form the Supreme Judicial Council and considers it an important step within the steps of correction and reform that will eventually establish an end to the crisis in the judiciary.

He added: And if the club welcomes the decision to form the Supreme Judicial Council, there are other benefits that the club sees as necessary to address, including amending the salary and wage structure to meet the living requirements of members of the judiciary, considering that ensuring the judges’ entitlements within the procedures for reforming and correcting the conditions of the judiciary is an inevitable step, because  It would enhance the effectiveness of judges in the performance of their duties and the message of justice.

Binnish called on the president and members of the new Supreme Judicial Council to play their role in managing the affairs of the judiciary in a way that enhances the independence of the judiciary and activates its role, work and tasks in a better and hopeful way, and to create plans to achieve a decent life for judges, and to stay away from political quarrels in the administration.

The tribal Sheikh Lahmar Ali Lassood emphasized that reforming the judicial institution is the basis and pillars of building state institutions.

And he said to Soud, in a tweet to him, commenting on the decisions, that the correct institutional building is the one that comes through building the judicial institution, which is considered the basis and pillars of building other state institutions.

Sheikh Lahmar congratulated everyone involved in the appointment decisions in the judiciary.

Journalist Adnan Al-Ajam explained that reforming the judiciary and the Ministry of Interior will lead to the launch of the development process.

Al-Ajam said, after correcting the situation of the judiciary, the situation of the Ministry of Interior and its branches in the various liberated governorates must be corrected.

He pointed out that with security and the judiciary, the wheel of development will start.
