Tariq Saleh: Bab al-Mandab is poised to be an economic base for the region

 A member of the Presidential Leadership Council, Brigadier General Tariq Muhammad Abdullah Saleh, confirmed that the Dhu Bab district and the West Coast regions in general have a strategic location that qualifies them to be a free trade zone for the entire region in the future.

 During his meeting, on Saturday, with the sheikhs and notables of Dhu Bab district in Taiz governorate, he indicated that everyone, state institutions, citizens and dignitaries, must work jointly to achieve development in it with strategic projects, stressing that the Dhu Bab district and the West Coast in general will be given all the care and attention to develop it and maintain security and stability in it.

Brigadier General Tariq Saleh talked about Iran's ambitions in the region, and said that sheikhs and notables have a responsibility to cooperate with the army and coast guard forces to confront the dangers in the region, especially since the Iranian plan wants to harness the region, and make the Bab al-Mandab similar to the Strait of Hormuz, through its arm the Houthi militia, which  It is trying to harm the security and safety of international navigation in Bab al-Mandab, stressing that Yemen is greater than al-Houthi and his project and Iran's project.

A member of the Presidential Leadership Council stressed the importance of the role of the sheikhs and notables of the region in deterring anyone involved in smuggling operations for the benefit of the Houthi militia, indicating that the Coast Guard forces will strike with an iron fist anyone who begs himself to work for the Houthi militia and cooperate with it in smuggling weapons and contraband or threatening the security of global trade in Bab al-Mandab.

Brigadier General Tariq Saleh indicated that the Mukhabat port is ready to receive goods, and sheikhs, dignitaries and dignitaries of coastal areas should report any merchant who seeks to bring his goods in an illegal manner that harms the state's economy and the lives of citizens, since these goods are not subject to control and good storage and do not meet quality and safety standards.  He called on the sheikhs and notables of the directorate to communicate with the people of the region who are still in the ranks of the terrorist Houthi militia, so that they can return to their villages as good citizens.

He stressed the importance of cooperation and solidarity between sheikhs, notables, and local authorities in what serves the interest of citizens, pointing to the importance of sheikhs taking a positive role in resolving people's differences and reconciliation between them amicably.

He made it clear that fighting the Houthi aggression is not limited to confronting it militarily only, but rather at various levels, as well as presenting a recognized model in preserving and protecting the interests of people in the liberated areas, and focusing on cultural awareness to confront extraneous ideas and improve people's lives, so that the Houthi aggression cannot achieve its goal of spreading the culture of Iranian religious seminaries.
