The Houthi kingdom..between the illusions of the "Fishi" and the confessions of "Al-Qahoum"
English - Thursday 08 June 2023 الساعة 04:37 pmSignificant statements issued by the leaders of the first ranks of the Houthi group during the past days shed light on the continuous battle waged by the group to impose its intellectual project in the areas of its control and its recognition of resistance and rejection by society despite the passage of 9 years since its coup.
Where the prominent leader of the Houthi group, Youssef Al-Fishi, published on his page on the social networking site "Twitter", a video clip entitled "People and Leader" in which he calls for taking the leader of the group as a sacred and unifying symbol for all Yemenis, even if the war ends, peace is established and presidential elections are held.
Al-Fishi explains the benefits of his call, by saying that the existence of a "sacred thing" among Yemenis protects their arena from rivalry and fighting and protects future generations from power struggles, citing the existence of monarchy systems in Western countries, referring to the installation of a new king in Britain to succeed the late Queen Elizabeth and the presence of an emperor in Japan.
The Houthi leader claims that the West, which possesses a "sacred reference," as he says, refuses that the Yemenis have "a sacred thing to rally around," and believes that this is the reason for the conflict and fighting that Yemen is experiencing.
Al-Fishi's call was met with widespread sarcasm by Yemenis on social media, who responded to the man's ignorance of the fact that the examples he cited in the West, such as Britain and Japan, are limited cases and have become formal positions for countries that rely entirely on democracy and are administered by elected governments.
They affirm that the call of Al-Fishi is, in fact, a call for the implementation of the existing regime in Iran and the installation of Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi as a supreme reference for the state and governance, as is the case with the position of "Supreme Guide of the Revolution", which was created by Khomeini after the Islamic Revolution in 1979 and succeeded by Ali Khamenei.
Whereas, the Fishi call was considered an indirect recognition of the group's failure to apply the Iranian model to Yemen and to imbue society with its doctrinal and sectarian ideas, despite the passage of 9 years since its coup and seizure of power, and even its fear of the fall of its power at the hands of the people at any moment, which was acknowledged by a colleague of Vichy. in group leadership.
Where the prominent leader of the Houthi group, Ali al-Qahoum, acknowledged in an interview with the "Yemen Today" channel broadcasting from Sana'a, his group's fear of demonstrations against it in the areas under its control, in justification for the state of repression and restrictions and the complete ban on any criticism or partisan activity.
Al-Qahoum said that his group fears that criticism of his militia's mistakes in managing state institutions will turn into incitement and incitement to ignite demonstrations calling for the overthrow of Al-Houthi from power, recognizing that his group does not even trust the leaders of the Congress present in the areas under its control, in response to a question to him about the reason for preventing them from organizing any partisan event .
Al-Qahoum acknowledged that his group fears that the leaders of the Congress present in the areas under its control will repeat the December 2017 uprising led by former President Ali Abdullah Saleh against the group, calling on these leaders to provide clear assurances to the group pledging not to do so.
