Fishermen in al-Peacha district, south of Hodeidah, said Tuesday that they were arrested three days ago and tortured by tohama elite forces.
In a complaint received by New Zealand, they added that a boat carrying soldiers from the elite forces approached them when they were fishing last Saturday evening near the lesser island of Hanish.
They explained that the soldiers took them to an island prison at gunpoint and were tortured by beatings and electrocution for three days.
They noted that the soldiers had confiscated their belongings from the fish and machines they used to locate the fish.
Photographs of the arrival of Newsmen showed the effects of torture on 17 fishermen who arrived at the peach this afternoon on three boats.
